Meet Juniper
Juniper was diagnosed with brain cancer and had to undergo aggressive treatment to survive.
Juniper was experiencing symptoms of headaches, nausea, and vomiting when her mom decided to take her to their nearby hospital, our partner Jupiter Medical Center. After initial scans revealed a brain tumor, doctors there immediately transferred Juniper to Nicklaus Children’s Helen & Jacob Shaham Cancer & Blood Disorders Institute, where she received emergency brain surgery and was diagnosed with Medulloblastoma.
The teams at Nicklaus Children's Brain Institute and Helen & Jacob Shaham Cancer & Blood Disorders Institute immediately developed a multidisciplinary care plan for Juniper to ensure they took every measure to tackle the cancer, undergoing rounds of chemotherapy and radiation.
In October, she rang the celebration bell to signal completion of chemotherapy treatments. At just four-years-old, Juniper has proven she can tackle anything, including a cancerous brain tumor.
