Meet Axel

After months of experiencing aches and pains throughout his body and several misdiagnoses, Axel was rushed to Nicklaus Children’s Hospital’s Helen & Jacob Shaham Cancer & Blood Disorders Institute where he was diagnosed with AcuteLymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL).

Axel spent one month in our hospital as he received chemotherapy treatment. Thanks to the Nicklaus Children’s team, today Axel is back in school learning his favorite subject – mathematics – and a new language.
