Nicklaus Children’s Brain Institute is one of the largest clinical childhood neuroscience programs in the world, offering hope and comprehensive care to children with neurological differences, so that they don’t have to leave the region for quality care. The Institute is recognized for excellence in treating kids with a full spectrum of brain disorders, including brain tumors, epilepsy, brain injuries, movement disorders, and genetic conditions. With four specialty centers (Epilepsy, NeuroMotor, NeuroGenetics, and Neuro-Oncology) and over a dozen multidisciplinary specialty programs, the Brain Institute receives referrals of complex cases from throughout the U.S. and around the world. Many of the Institute’s greatest successes involve children who could not be helped at other centers.

Funding is essential for fueling important advances in neuroscience research, including gene therapy treatments for children with muscular dystrophy and new treatment trials for children with aggressive tumors in areas of the brain where surgery may not be possible. The Institute is seeking to expand research and services at three high-demand centers: Neuro-Oncology, NeuroMotor, and Epilepsy.
